Due to the coronavirus pandemic all training courses up to 30 April have been cancelled. This will be reviewed monthly on an ongoing basis.
All courses will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
At Girlguiding Leeds we provide specially designed courses, events and other opportunities for leaders and members to develop their skills. Current courses and events are listed on our Calendar or available to download here:
To book a place on a course: Complete the Training Application Form and send it to the County Administrator at email@example.com or The Trefoil Centre, 16a Morris Lane, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3JD.
Bookings will not be accepted less than 1 week prior to the date of the course – to allow the administrator and trainer to prepare paperwork.
You do not need to book for LQ Sign-Off sessions, but please email us at LQ@girlguidingleeds.org.uk to let us know you would like to come, so we can arrange for enough Mentors to be available.
Attending a course: Please wear casual uniform, if possible. Refreshments are provided, but bring your own lunch for day-long courses. Full addresses for venues are provided in the course information on the calendar and on the Training Programme.
Please do not turn up to a course which you have not booked onto and received a booking acknowledgement.
Paying for a course: If you are attending a Safe Space or full First Response course, please pay when making your booking. All other courses may be paid for at the event. Payment can be made with cash, cheque (made payable to ‘Leeds County Guide Assocation’ or BACs (full details are available on the booking form).
Course fees: First Response – £10; Safe Space – £5; all other courses – £2.50; LQ Sign-Off and Volunteer Induction – free.
Cancellations: If you cannot attend a course you are booked onto, please notify the County Administrator as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org. For courses that are paid for in advance the fees are non-refundable unless we can reallocate the place to another leader.
