County Training Weekend
Friday 28 February – Sunday 1 March 2020
Where and what is Waddow
Waddow Hall is a 17th Century Manor House situated on the banks of the River Ribble in Lancashire. The Waddow Hall estate covers 178 acres of Ribble Valley countryside and has been used by The Guide Association as a Training & Activity Centre since 1927. To assist with maintenance costs, most of the rooms are sponsored by Guide Counties, Divisions and Trefoil Guilds.
Are you aware we, Girlguiding Leeds, have a room?
That’s why we like to go.
Plus, it’s in a beautiful setting, it has a badge shop, amazing food for all dietary requirements and a licensed bar.
Why you should come?
A Waddow residential event achieves much more than just training. Our whole Girlguiding Leeds team stands to gain so much more, the participation, living together, learning together and having fun will reap rewards. It gives time to get to know and appreciate each other which can benefit every leader who attends, which provides our Girlguiding Leeds “girls” with all that experience, knowledge and skills.
We have asked the trainers to consider a few things, some of which we would like to be a surprise, but their brief is to inspire you, as a leader, in adventure, the future girl and your leader journey in Girlguiding Leeds
Interested? What we ask is:
- Please come along and be curious
- Be open minded
- Be part of our Girlguiding Leeds journey and team
What we aspire to do is
Provide you with an weekend in which you will have fun with and get to know other members of your County, an opportunity to go home with activities that can be used in your unit. And, had the opportunity to visit a historical Girlguiding property.
