Getting involved with the community

Bulletin – 5th July 2018

CITV game show Spy School is currently looking for 12-15 year olds to take part in the new series.

I thought it might be something that the guides in your area would be interested in and was hoping you would be able to share our attached flyer with them. We had several guides on the series last year who all did incredibly well so it would be great to have more apply this series.

Spy School Flyer

In case you haven’t seen it, Spy School is an action adventure game show, where in each episode a different pair of contestants are given a secret mission. They have to complete various challenges (physical such as an assault course and mental such as code breaking and memory tasks) to obtain clues that will help them in their mission. The mission ends on location at a famous landmark, where working with the presenters, they have one last challenge to complete in order to succeed and graduate Spy School.

Any child interested can, (with their parent or guardian’s permission), contact us on spyschool@zodiakkids.com for an application form. They can apply individually, although we would love to get pairs of friends / siblings / other relatives applying together.

Bulletin – 22nd May 2018

In the past, Yorkshire Cricket Board have worked alongside Brownies and Rainbows to deliver cricket taster sessions throughout Yorkshire.

This has proved successful in the past, and we are hoping this takes place again this year.

The session would be delivered through the All Stars programme, which is for children aged 5-8.  This would be a one-off session at a local cricket club that is hosting All Stars currently.  It would just give the girls a taster into what cricket is like, and give them the opportunity to meet local clubs if they were interested in carrying the sport on.

The session would be free.

Please contact Jodie Slater for more information.
