Sep 19 @ 7:00 pm – 9:15 pm

This is a drop-in session for Leaders-in-Training.

You will have the opportunity to bring your LQ information and booklet and sign off various sections (if not all of your qualification) with a mentor.  Or, if you haven’t started yet, you will receive your booklet at the event and have the opportunity to speak with a mentor.

Please bring with you all your evidence in whatever state it is in, together with copies of you unit attendance sheets, programme plan, accounts records, etc. as appropriate.

Oct 3 @ 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Course Code: GAW02

Would your unit like to go on a sleepover, camp or holiday, but you don’t currently have a leader with a Going Away Licence?  If so, this training could be for you.

This training will help you find out more about what’s involved and the different types of residential opportunities possible.  It will take you through the requirements of the qualification and give you some ideas to help with various aspects such as forms, risk assessments, venues, planning and activities.

We recommend that anyone intending to work towards a Going Away Licence attends a training like this at an early stage in the process.  It will help make sure that your plans are on the right track and that you have a mentor and assessor in place in plenty of time.
