At Girlguiding Leeds we provide specially designed courses, events and other opportunities for leaders and members to develop their skills. Current courses and events are listed with full details below. To book a place on a course: Complete the Training Application Form and send it to the County Administrator at email@example.com or The Trefoil Centre, 16a Morris Lane, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3JD.
You do not need to book for LQ Sign-Off sessions, but please email us at LQ@girlguidingleeds.org.uk to let us know you would like to come, so we can arrange for enough Mentors to be available.
To book a place on the COUNTY TRAINING WEEKEND: Complete the 2020 County Training Weekend Booking Form and send it with your payment to the County Administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org or The Trefoil Centre, 16a Morris Lane, Kirkstall, Leeds, LS5 3JD. PLEASE NOTE: applications cannot be accepted without payment.
Attending a course: Please wear casual uniform, if possible. Refreshments are provided, but bring your own lunch for day-long courses. Full addresses for venues are provided in the course information on the calendar below and on the Training Programme.
Paying for a course: If you are attending a Safe Space or full First Response course, please pay when making your booking. All other courses may be paid for at the event. Payment can be made with cash, cheque or BACs, details are on the booking form.
Course fees: First Response – £10; Safe Space – £5; all other courses – £2.50; LQ Sign-Off and Volunteer Induction – free.
Cancellations: If you cannot attend a course you are booked onto, please notify the County Administrator as soon as possible at email@example.com. For courses that are paid for in advance the fees are non-refundable unless we can reallocate the place to another leader.

This course is for leaders who have previously completed the full First Response course and need a refresher – which is required every 3 years.

Whether you’re new to leading or run an established unit, whether you’ve started introducing the new programme or not – this training is for you. Learn and exchange ideas for planning and running a varied programme of meeting activities incorporating the new resources.
The aim of the weekend is to re-energise and inspire you with new and adventurous programme ideas that can be used both within and outside of your unit meetings. Come along, meet new friends and enjoy the hospitality of Waddow Hall.
Cost includes all meals and accommodation.
